Computer Access

The Maywood Public Library is a vibrant center for community life and learning, offering people of all ages abundant opportunities to enrich their lives. The Library serves as a free community cultural center, a focus point for community activities, and a forum for community issues. Adopted by the Maywood Public Library Board of Trustees, December 16, 2015.

The Library provides free access to the internet and Microsoft Office suite.

Patrons can sign in to use a computer using a library card from any BCCLS Library or by requesting a guest pass from staff.

All computers shut down 15 minutes before library closing. Computers on the lower level shut down 30 minutes before library closing.

The Internet, like all of the library’s information sources, must be shared and used in a manner which respects the rights of others. Library personnel do not monitor or supervise internet access except for the length of time.  Internet time limit is 60 minutes per session for computers in the adult sections and 30 minutes per session for computers in the children’s section. Patrons may extend their session if no one else is waiting to access the computers.  As with other library materials, restriction of a child’s access to the internet is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Please review our Internet Use Policy.

Printing is available for a fee.  Black and white prints are $0.15 per page and color prints are $0.35 per page. Patrons are responsible for the cost of all pages printed and copied, regardless of errors.
